Founded in 1884, GW’s School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) produces engineers who know how to produce solutions. Through curricula that blend context, theory, and hands-on research, SEAS delivers an education that is relevant, cutting-edge, and designed to produce solid engineers of the future. SEAS graduates know that successful engineering requires creativity, rigorous analytical thinking, and an awareness of the context of the problems they study.
The School of Engineering and Applied Science offers an array of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, as well as several certificate programs. Students select from various areas of study, including civil engineering, computer engineering, computer science, and mechanical engineering, to name a few. The School’s downtown facilities are augmented by those on GW’s Virginia Campus, located in Ashburn, Va.
